The beautiful campus of Saint Louis University is located in the mid-town arts district of the city of St. Louis. The campus is near a number of bus lines. A Metrolink (light rail line) stop is a ten-minute walk on Grand Avenue. The Metrolink provides transportation downtown, to Lambert International Airport, and to many other locations. The city of St. Louis offers many cultural and dining opportunities for after hours and weekends. The St. Louis Art Museum contains a rich collection of art from Europe, America, Asia, and Africa. A destination for tourists, the Gateway Arch National Park and Museum provides a panoramic view of the city and context to the city’s founding and development. Other fascinating museums and historical sites include the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park, the National Museum of Transportation in Kirkwood, and the Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site in Cahokia, Illinois. Larger in size than Central Park in NYC, Forest Park offers wonderful opportunities for walking, biking, eating, and enjoying nature. The city boasts several lively restaurant districts in the Central West End, the University City Loop, and the Soulard neighborhood. Busch Stadium downtown is home to the St. Louis Cardinals and showcases one of the finest baseball franchises in Major League Baseball.
